SensorLab Weather Station – Measuring Weather with the BME280

Turn your ESP32 into a compact digital weather station! The BME280 environmental sensor measures three important atmospheric quantities at the same time: temperature, relative humidity, and air pressure.

Combined with an ESP32, these measurements can be transferred directly to the SensorLab Weather Station dashboard. The current values are displayed on three graphical gauges and can be recorded over time for further analysis. Measurement series can also be exported as CSV files for use with spreadsheet software such as Excel or Numbers.

The dashboard supports different ways of working with SensorLab, including USB and wireless connections, as well as a Demo Mode for exploring the dashboard without a connected sensor.

The BME280 makes this setup ideal for classroom experiments in weather, climate, thermodynamics, and environmental physics. Observe how temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure change—and turn everyday weather into real measurement data.

Browser Compatibility

To use the SensorLab Weather Station with an ESP32 via USB, please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. SensorLab uses the Web Serial API for direct communication with the ESP32, which is not supported by all web browsers.
